Training with a Primary School Library Focus

	Information Literacy
	Becoming an Information Literacy Champion - Developing Information Literacy Skills in a library/curriculum & ICT context for Key Stages 1 & 2 (usually a full day) Information Literacy Skills in Practice - Planning and implementing library research tasks for KS2 (full day). Following an introduction to information literacy and library use, this session will give delegates time and support to start planning ways in which they can introduce targeted information literacy skills into a selected topic that they will be teaching or supporting. The Creative Curriculum, Information Literacy and the Primary School Library. (full day)

All programmes are negotiable and tailored as far as possible to the particular audience. Several of the half day courses can be strengthened by giving delegates practical time to start some planning individually or in small groups, with support, followed by a feedback session. Copies of all Powerpoint slides and MS Word docs are freely available for delegates.
